Best Version Media Back Office
The Best Version Media Back Office ("Back Office") is the internal customer-relationship-management and operations application used by Best Version Media, LLC ("BVM"). Back Office is not a consumer product: access is provisioned to specific authenticated users only, and new users complete training before being granted access.
Who Uses Back Office
Back Office is used by:
- BVM employees — including sales, production, client services, accounting, and operations staff.
- Independent publishers — local marketing professionals who run their own community-focused business under the Best Version Media brand. Publishers help neighborhood small businesses grow by offering print and digital marketing services anchored around a hyper-local community magazine that strengthens local ties and builds long-term brand visibility. BVM handles magazine content, design, and printing, so publishers can focus on building relationships in their community. Individuals interested in the opportunity can learn more at bestversionmedia.com/become-a-publisher.
- Authorized contractors — sales representatives and other contractors engaged by BVM or its publishers to support day-to-day operations.
What Back Office Does
Authenticated users use Back Office to manage BVM's day-to-day business operations. Typical activities fall into a few broad areas:
- customer and prospect relationship management;
- scheduling and calendar coordination;
- business communications with clients, prospects, and colleagues;
- production and project coordination;
- billing, payments, and accounting operations; and
- operational and performance reporting.
Connected Services
Back Office connects to a small number of optional third-party services so that users can do more inside the application without switching tools. Today, users may connect their Google account to let Back Office send business email on their behalf from their own address and keep their work calendar in sync with appointments scheduled inside the application. Connecting an external account is always optional — Back Office is fully usable without it — and the user remains in control of what data is shared.
When a user connects an external service, Back Office only uses that connection to provide the features the signed-in user has explicitly invoked. Details on the specific information accessed, how it is stored, and how it is used are described in our Privacy Policy. A user can disconnect a connected account at any time from inside Back Office, or revoke access directly through the provider — for Google accounts, by visiting the Google Account permissions page.
